MEET THE TEAM

DEB BODGER ~ Managing Director and Pet Partner Home Stay & Doggy Day Care Tauranga
Ever since I can remember, animals were a part of my life. I grew up in a large family with a lot of pets! You name it; we seemed to have it, ducks, chickens, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, cats and dogs. From an early age I seemed to have a natural affinity with dogs and adored spending time with them. So much so, I’d favour playing with the dog over playing with friends! So now, all grown up, I own 4 amazing dogs, and to me and my husband, they mean the world to us. People often ask me how did I get into Pet Minding? Well, I recognised that most pets given the choice, would prefer to stay in the comfort and safety of their own home, which is why I decided to follow my passion for animals and created a pet minding and dog walking service that people and pets could trust. Pet Partners has been created by a pet lover, for pet lovers! Caring for your pet is a huge responsibility, a responsibility we take seriously. They are one of the most loved and unique members of your family, which is why I personally guarantee that they always receive the highest standard of care and attention. My husband and I would be very choosy about who we’d let look after our dogs, and I’d expect you to be too. Trust has to be earned, and I hope you give us the opportunity to prove to you and your pet that they will be in the most caring and affectionate hands. Want to see more? JENNIFER HARRISON ~ Pet Partner Home Stay & Doggy Day Care (Small Dogs Only) Papamoa, Mt Maunganui & Te Puke
Animals and me – well I have to say that it is an understatement to say I love animals as I respect, admire, treasure and adore all I come into contact with. Sharing a conversation with an animal is one of my greatest joys! I’ve recently completed a certificate in Companion Animal Services which enhances what I’ve already learnt naturally through the years. Like most of us animal lovers, I grew up with cats and dogs, but my passion really was born when I left home and my feline family quickly grew – at present I have a beautiful mix of rescued cats and a pedigree or two.  My role as a Pet Partner is varied, I offer a small Home Stay and Doggy Day Care service, where small dogs are welcomed into my home for one – one personal and loving attention, and I also offer pet care visits in your own home, serving Papamoa, Mount Maunganui and Te Puke. I look forward to meeting you and your pet/s and being able to love and care for your pet when you can’t be there. Give me a wave and a smile when you see me in my RAV wagon with its number plate PDH meaning “pets devoted helper” – I promise to wave back! Jennifer is also a dedicated volunteer with the Tauranga SPCA, playing a valuable role in the Dog Squad with Chelsea her Golden Retriever and as a Foster Parent for abandoned and sick kittens with her local clinic Bayfair Vets. She was hailed a Local Hero in the Bay News ~ read the article here  A Local Hero . We couldnt be more proud to have Jennifer as part of our team!  Want to see more? Then feel free to view our individual Introduction Videos

AMY TAYLOR ~ Pet Partner Papamoa, Mt Maunganui & Te Puke
I genuinely love looking after pets… I adore all animals and am very passionate about their protection and welfare. I grew up with rescued animals as pets and have rescued and re-homed dogs and cats over the years. One of my favourite quotes is “You cannot change the world by saving one animal, but you can change the world for that one animal.” My husband and I recently adopted a kitten and a puppy – they’re already great friends and special members of our family, providing some hilarious moments especially when it comes to playing together! Although I spend lots of time with animals of the four-legged kind my background is marine biology, specializing in dolphins and whales. I’ve taken many people to swim with them in the wild, as well as filming the experience to share it with others. I was lucky to spend 5 months filming Moko the dolphin for a documentary for TV3 – he was a real character and really helped prove that a life does not have to be human to be great. I’m a long-term supporter of SAFE (Save Animals From Exploitation) I’ve also been a volunteer dog walker at the SPCA and I recently volunteered to make a video for South Pacific Animal Welfare (an organization facilitating vets to go to remote islands with little or no veterinary care) I believe all animals deserve happy healthy lives and I’m excited to be part of the Pet Partners team helping to make that happen. I look forward to meeting you and your much-loved pets! Want to see more? Then feel free to view our individual Introduction Videos
