THE ROLE OF A PET PARTNER

It probably goes without saying that you’ll be amazing with pets! But the role of a Pet Partner is so much more than simply feeding a pussy cat or walking a dog. Our selection criterion is of a high standard, it has to be as customers count on us to provide trustworthy, capable and caring pet minders. So here are a few qualities and skills we’re looking for…

  • You’re a person who wants to share the important responsibility of caring for other people’s pets and enjoy providing peace of mind and reassurance for pet owners.
  • You sincerely want to support pet owners in enhancing the lives of their pets by providing a caring, knowledgeable and understanding service.
  • You’re devoted to animals, all shapes and sizes. You possess a natural affinity with animals and a strong desire to work with them. You are passionate about animals, taking a great interest in animal behaviour and all things ‘pet’ related.
  • You enjoy the company of others, love meeting new people and you are confident in social and business situations.
  • You rave about your work and take pride in delivering the highest standard of care and productivity.
  • You enjoy achieving great results and you’re enthusiastic about building a great customer base by delivering memorable service.
  • You have excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • You have outstanding and proactive communication skills.
  • You can confidently work your way around the computer, the internet, Microsoft Word & Outlook (email/contact/calendar), and know how to send and receive texts.

REQUIREMENTS

A Pet Partner should have the willingness, patience and financial support to devote a full-time effort to build a strong sustainable business. You should possess a working knowledge of sales, customer service, marketing and accounting basics. You should have the desire to embrace our system of high operating standards. Ideally, you will have previous business ownership, operations or management experience.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PET PARTNER

You must have the following to be able to work as a Pet Partner…

  • A clear Police Background Check (no criminal record)
  • A current and full driving license
  • A clean, reliable and fully insured car
  • A PC/Laptop (with internet access and Microsoft Outlook)
  • A mobile Phone (with the ability to text)

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PET PARTNER

  • You’ll be responsible for growing your customer profile in your area by marketing Pet Partners and forging links with all pet related businesses.
  • You’ll introduce and build the Pet Partners brand within your community through networking and building alliances, whilst consistently providing a service of the highest standard.
  • You’ll manage all accounting, financial, customer and reporting information as laid out in the relevant Pet Partner Manuals.
  • You’ll be responsible for regularly reporting to Head Office and required to have regular coaching calls with Pet Partners Head Office.
